Online Events at the Perry Center
The Perry Center Conducts online meetings, webinars, and Hemispheric Forums primarily through AdobeConnect, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, and Vimeo/Livestream. Please follow the directions below if you have been invited to an online event we are hosting:
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ALL PERRY CENTER ONLINE EVENTS
- Properly identify yourself when prompted for your name upon entering the meeting. Please include your first and last name, as well as your country.
- Depending on the meeting's format, camera and microphone access for guests may be disabled upon entry into the meeting room.
- When possible, please try to connect ahead of time. Meeting rooms are generally open 15-30 minutes prior to the listed start date.
- Arriving early will allow you to test your connectivity and resolve any last minute technical difficulties.
- Space may be limited. Arriving early will help you secure your spot
- Audio and video quality in online meetings is largely dependent on your data bandwidth. Generally speaking, devices using cellular data often perform worse compared to their counterparts connected to a traditional wired or wireless network. Likewise, connections to a wireless network with a lot of active users may also degrade your quality.
- Webinars hosted by the Perry Center are usually recorded. If you are unable to attend a live webinar, a recording is usually posted on our web site within 24 to 48 hours.
