Linda Denning

Chief of Operations and Student Affairs

Linda Denning currently serves as Chief of Operations and Student Affairs at the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, and previously served for nine years as Operations Coordinator and ten years as Student Services Coordinator. She joined the Perry Center in January 1999.

Previously, Ms. Denning served as an analytical linguist with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), performing Title III monitoring of live communications, including providing summaries, transcriptions, translations and intelligence analysis for illicit trafficking investigations.

Ms. Denning also served in the United States Army, in Military Intelligence, specializing in human intelligence, document exploitation and interrogation.

Born and raised in California, Ms. Denning holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and in International Relations, and minors in Spanish and Japanese, from the University of California, Davis, as well as a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Computer Science from Mary Washington University.
